Empowering Abilities Through Inclusive Sports
Stride & Glide breaks barriers by providing adaptive sports training and events, making running, swimming, and hiking accessible to all. Join us in fostering health, inclusion, and community across Europe.

Empowering Inclusive Sports Across Europe
People with disabilities remain significantly underrepresented in sport due to barriers such as inaccessible infrastructure, lack of adapted equipment, and limited inclusive programmes. Participation in sport is essential not only for physical health, but also for mental wellbeing, self-confidence, social integration, and community participation. By directly involving people with disabilities in activities, decision-making, and programme design, the project ensures that activities respond to real needs and create meaningful long-term impact for individuals and communities

Research Report: Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Sport
Our first project result explores the current barriers and opportunities for inclusive sport across Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Portugal. The report looks at policies, accessibility challenges, transport, costs, equipment, and coaching needs, helping partners design activities based on real evidence.

Educational Programme for Inclusive Sport
The STRIDE & GLIDE Educational Programme translates the project’s research findings into practical training materials for coaches, volunteers, teachers, and sport professionals. It includes a structured training pathway with modules on inclusive sport, adaptive methodologies, communication, psychological support, and practical adaptation of running, hiking, and swimming activities.
